Assisting the green transformation of steel plants, the 30MW/60MWh energy storage power station was successfully connected to the grid!
Recently, the Sunshine Premium Storage Dongfang Special Steel 30.09MW/60.18MWh user-side energy storage power station project supported by REPT BATTERO was officially connected to the grid! The project provides an example for the green energy transition in the steel industry.
At present, as the global climate change problem becomes increasingly serious, countries are actively taking measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. As one of the major sources of global carbon emissions, the steel industry's green transformation is of great significance to achieving the global carbon neutrality goal. Against this background, the Chinese government has proposed policies to accelerate the green transformation of the steel industry, encouraging companies to adopt advanced energy-saving technologies and environmental protection facilities to improve energy utilization efficiency and reduce emissions.
Changzhou Dongfang Special Steel Co., Ltd. is an enterprise mainly engaged in ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry. Its strategic planning is based on transformation and upgrading to build a steel joint enterprise with high-quality bars as its characteristic products.
Since the energy structure of the steel industry is highly dependent on coal, the adjustment of the energy structure may bring about the following problems:

This 30MW/60MWh energy storage power station project was born in response to the green transformation needs of the steel industry.
The project adopts a string energy storage architecture, and the "one cluster, one management" operation and maintenance method improves the balance and charge and discharge efficiency of the battery pack.
At the same time, the high-efficiency thermal management system enhances temperature uniformity, extends battery life, stabilizes system operation, and effectively reduces grid impact.
The successful grid connection of this 30MW/60MWh energy storage power station is an epitome of the green transformation of my country's steel industry.
